APEXS EPOXY KNIFING FILLER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Apex`s Epoxy Knifing Filler is a two-component epoxy compound.
RECOMMENDED USE

As a filler for repairing cracks, damages and blowholes in concrete and steel surfaces. The Product is easy to work with and can be applied in thick coats.

Mixing Ratio by Vol. 95:5 (By W/W)
Volume Solids 85% (Minimum)
Recommended Dry Film Thickness As per Customer`s requirement.
Consistency Smooth & Uniform and suitable for knife application
Stopping Properties Shall show no sagging, cracking or shrinkage
Rubbing Properties Shall dry rub with 80 & 150 grade paper and wet rub with 280 grade water proof paper without clogging of the paper and shall not show defects like roughness, scratches, cracks and pinholes after rubbing.
Hold out Property Finish with uniform gloss and colour.
Adhesion & Compatibility of Paint system Good adhesion and compatibility of the paint system.
Drying Time- Touch Dry 2-3 Hrs (Approx) at 20°C
Hard Dry 12 Hrs (Approx) at 20°C
Full cure 7 days at 20°C
Pot Life 1Hrs at 20°C
Storage Life Upto 12 months so long as the material is stored in sealed contains under standard storage condition(30°C)
APPLICATION DETAILS

Spatula , Putty Knife or Similar
SURFACE PREPARATION Remove oil and grease with a detergent solution and high pressure fresh water hosing. Remove salt and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning. Remove rust and loose material by power tool cleaning to St3,SSPC-Sp-3 or by abrasive blasting to Sa 2,SSPC-Sp-6. Feather edges to sound and intact paint. Dust off residues.
HEALTH & SAFETY: As a general rule, avoid inhalation of solvent vapours or paint mist and contact of paint with skin and eyes. Provide forced ventilation when working with solvent borne coating in confined spaces or stagnant air. Also provide respiratory, skin and eye protection. Also follow local and national safety regulations.
